Recently I received a call from a long standing client. He told me his sister in law had been let down by her decorator and needed her kitchen finished as soon as possible…could I help her?
Naturally I juggled a few things around and managed to fit her in.
When I arrived all the walls and ceiling had been freshly plastered and had dried out completely.
The first thing to do was to lay down dust sheets to protect the floor and plastic sheeting to protect the surfaces.
Now to start… first thing we needed to do was to prime the walls to seal them before the main painting can begin. This primer coat is called a “mist coat” and is thinned down emulsion.
With the mist coat on and all walls and ceilings painted in it, we now apply two coats of Brilliant White Matt to the ceilings.
Then two walls were given two coats of Dulux Perfect Oyster and the remaining two walls were given two coats of Dulux Leafy Cottage.
All the woodwork was painted with Dulux white gloss.
The result was a beautiful tranquil space for all the family to enjoy.
